Karen was invited to join the Freedom FSS team in September 2022 to meet the surge in demand for SMSFs, when she moved back to Australia from Canada after more than two decades.

Starting as all-round office support for the SMSF set up team, Karen now leads the banking set up team. She particularly enjoys helping clients navigate the various Macquarie bank account options and getting them set up and operating their SMSF bank accounts easily and confidently.

Karen worked for over thirty years in a variety of health, mental-health, aged and disability service-related public and private sectors, including in Canada and in the Australian public service.

She has experienced first-hand the challenges sudden and unexpected world changes can bring and is delighted to help others prepare a secure financial future, by more effectively harnessing often overlooked superannuation assets.
