What is an SMSF?
An SMSF is a private superannuation fund that is managed by its trustees. The trustees are responsible for ensuring the fund complies with superannuation and taxation laws and for making decisions regarding the operation of the fund.
Is an SMSF suitable for you?
Whether an SMSF is suitable for your circumstances is a decision only you can make. You should compare the costs, responsibilities and features of an SMSF with your current superannuation arrangements and consider obtaining licensed financial advice before making your decision.
What we do
We can help with the administrative process of setting up your SMSF, including completing the establishment paperwork, establishing a corporate trustee (if required), obtaining an ABN and TFN, assisting with the establishment of an SMSF bank account, and preparing rollover documentation.
How long does it take?
While the SMSF itself can be established in as little as five days, it then usually takes a few weeks to wait for ATO complying status, the bank account to open, and your super funds to roll into that bank account.
So typically it takes 4-6 weeks from when we receive your order through to your superannuation funds appearing in your SMSF bank account.
