We’re excited to announce the launch of the Future Solutions Foundation, a new charity founded by Cass Smith to support individuals and families affected by medical negligence.
It has taken more than 12 months to complete the process of registering the charity, and we are now busy preparing for our public launch in Brisbane on 9 July 2026. We are delighted to confirm that our Honorary Patron, internationally recognised health educator Barbara O’Neill, will be joining us for this special occasion, which made the date particularly meaningful for our official launch.
Supporting Those Affected by Medical Negligence
For many people, the consequences of medical negligence can be life-changing. Legal challenges, financial strain, health concerns, and emotional trauma often arise at the same time, leaving individuals unsure where to turn for help.
The Future Solutions Foundation serves as a vital gateway, connecting individuals and families affected by medical negligence with essential services and support. Through trusted partners, we provide access to legal assistance, alternative medical treatments, financial guidance for compensation and medical costs, as well as counselling and spiritual care. Our aim is to equip those affected with the tools and support they need to rebuild their lives with confidence, dignity, and care.
It’s mission extends beyond support. We are committed to empowering and educating Australians so they can better understand healthcare risks, ask the right questions, and make informed decisions. By raising awareness and providing practical knowledge and resources, we aim to help individuals and families recognise potential risks early and reduce the likelihood of experiencing medical negligence in the future.
Filling a Gap in the Community
The Foundation was created after many members of the community expressed concern that the needs of people affected by medical negligence were often overlooked. At the same time, others shared that they wished to donate part of their wealth or leave a legacy through their estate, but felt dissatisfied with the charitable options currently available.
Future Solutions Foundation was established to help fill that gap — providing a pathway for like-minded Australians to support practical assistance for those navigating the consequences of medical negligence.
Supporting the Mission
Donations and sponsorship play an important role in helping the Foundation grow its work. Community support allows us to expand connections with legal, medical, financial, and wellbeing services and, where possible, help support those services financially so more people can access the help they need.
Partnership Opportunities
The Future Solutions Foundation welcomes partnerships with organisations and supporters who share our commitment to helping Australians affected by medical negligence.
As the saying goes, many hands make light work. Through sponsorship, collaboration, and shared expertise, partners can help extend the reach and impact of the Foundation’s work and strengthen the pathways of support available to those who need it most.
